Linguine is excellent with butter and sage, tomato based sauces, many seafood style sauces and perfect with soft melting cheeses.
Penne can be used for many oven baked pasta dishes but is also great with Arrabbiata and many other tomato or vegetable based sauces.
Spaghetti can be used for many fresh sauces, plain herb and olive oil dishes as well as more classic meat based sauces such as Bolognese.
Macaroni is excellent for young and old, in bakes and with fresh pasta sauces.
